Project Assistant; Skopje, North Macedonia (SB-3)

The Project Assistant provides administrative support in the implementation of the project “Prevention and Protection against Gender-Based Violence in North Macedonia”, funded by the British Embassy in Skopje, implemented by UNFPA. The project supports the Government in the Republic of North Macedonia to embed and begin implementing state-wide integrated policies on gender-based violence (GBV), in line with the principles of the Istanbul Convention. 

The project supports the operationalization of the new Law on the prevention and protection of violence against women and domestic violence adopted in January 2021. It develops coordination mechanisms and access to critical multi-sectoral services for survivors, supports the design of a model for integrated data collection and analysis on GBV, strengthens the capacities of service providers, addresses the perpetrator’s programme as well as works on sensitization of media professionals and developing campaigns for promoting GBV available services in the country.
