Joint Programme funded by the United Nations Covid-19 Response and Recovery Fund and jointly implemented by three United Nation’s entities – WHO, UNICEF, and UNFPA, that took place in hybrid format on Monday, March 28th 2022 from 10.00 to 12.00 at the Hotel DoubleTree by Hilton Skopje and online in – English, Macedonian and Albanian.
The event highlighted the key achievements and lessons learned of the project and explored opportunities for building upon these achievements for further improving accessibility of health services in remote and underserved areas, understand and address immunization hesitancy and continue strengthening digitalization of immunization.

About the event
In close collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Red Cross, Macedonian Medical Association, Association of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians and UNFPA two mobile gynecological clinics were equipped and deployed on working days in rural areas across the country.
During the period from February to March the mobile clinics provided 743 gynecological check-ups and cervical cancer screenings in 7 rural municipalities: Gratsko, Lozovo, Chashka, Rankovce, Lipkovo and Cheshinovo Obleshevo;
In cooperation with the Directorate for Execution of Sanctions, the Ministry of Justice and NGO HOPS - Options for Healthy Life Skopje, women prisoners, drug users and sex workers were included in the mobile clinic’s field visits.
10 educational workshops on sexually transmitted diseases, family planning and proper care for sexual and reproductive health led by a team of experts / specialist in gynecology and obstetrics and a younger assistant, resident doctor in gynecology and obstetrics[MIV1] from UGAK were organized in 4 high schools and included 158 students aged 16-18 years.
By the end of March 2022, UNFPA in cooperation with Faculty of Dentistry – Skopje and MAGO has enriched the services of the mobile clinics with counseling brochures on Oral Health Care during pregnancy and infantility period.
