Gynecological examinations for the sex workers and women who use drugs

At the beginning of March 2022, the Daily Center for Support of Sex Workers, and their Families, in cooperation with HOPS - Options for Healthy Living Skopje, UNFPA MK and MAGO-Macedonian Association of Gynecologists and Obstetricians, provieded free gynecological services for sex workers and women who use drugs. The examinations were done by gynecologists from the University Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics in Skopje, during which 14 gynecological examinations were performed. The work of the mobile gynecological clinics is made possible with the support of the Ministry of Health, the Macedonian Medical Association, the Red Cross and UNFPA - United Nations Population Fund, which are the project holders and provided all the medical equipment necessary for the operation of the clinics.

Mobile health services and preventive examinations will reduce the incidence and mortality from cervical cancer. Advice on gender-based violence and family planning is also available at the Mobile Gynecology Clinic.
