Marking “World Antimicrobial Awareness Week”

National event gathered over 130 health and veterinary professionals to discuss latest Eurobarometer and Central Asian and European Surveillance of Antimicrobial Resistance (CAESAR) data on North Macedonia as well as current challenges related to antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in clinical practice and the importance of the "One Health" approach. Observed on 18–24 November each year, World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) has as its slogan “Antimicrobials: Handle with Care”, highlighting that antimicrobial medicines, such as antibiotics, are a precious resource and should be used prudently.
