In October, as part of the project "Empowering Municipal Councils", UNDP have organized the traditional Annual Conference with the Presidents of the Municipal Councils.

About the event
Useful discussions on the current challenges related to the local development and the decentralization process took place during the event. Within the same project, we have started the first cycle of trainings for the councilors of the 10 partner municipalities. Presidents of two municipal councils and UNDP staff participated on a study visit in Brussels on the European Week of Regions and Cities that provided additional opportunity for networking and exchange of experiences.
