About the event
In very close collaboration with the MoLSP, MoH and MoES the activities for introduction of a trans-disciplinary family-oriented model of early childhood intervention services (ECI), is supported. The Policy Recommendation document has been developed in participatory manner, with persons with disabilities, organisations of persons with disabilities, civil society organisations and service providers. The Policy Recommendation is based on the contemporary programmes in providing ECI services that are oriented towards providing services in the family or in the natural environments of the child, such as: kindergartens, day care centres, schools and other places where the child performs daily routines, which are also family routines. The Policy Recommendation is based on the findings of the analysis on the design and implementation of system services for early childhood intervention, that have identified the existing processes for the detection and referral of children born with a risk factor or with a disability, the human and financial resources for providing of the ECI service, the need for the development of protocols, standards and other relevant documents and additionally giving recommendations for ensuring adequate financing of the systemic ECI services. The Policy Recommendations and the findings of the analysis will be presented and promoted at the event scheduled for December 21.
