UN Women North Macedonia highlights rural women's progress at Türkiye's International GRB Conference

We were glad to take part in the International Conference organized by UN Women Türkiye on “Gender Responsive Budgeting as a Transformative Approach Towards Equal and Equitable Society: International Experiences” taking place in Ankara, Türkiye from 29-30 May to share our experiences and hear some good practices.

During the conference, we had the opportunity to highlight a significant milestone in our #GenderResponsiveBudgeting (GRB) work in North Macedonia, especially in improving the lives of women from rural areas. A special thanks to Marina Nacka from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food in Skopje, who presented interesting insights on how academic research can drive evidence-based policymaking. Their work is instrumental in shaping policy measures that empower women in agriculture, fostering both economic growth and social equity.
