About the event
In the third week of February, UNDP organized specialized trainings on the functionalities of the new Police Information System for 200 representatives of the Ministry of Interior. According to the plans, during 2022 around 3.500 police officers will start to use the new system which will contribute towards increased efficiency, significant time savings, easy access to information and simplified traceability of cases by different officers. Additionally, four comms sessions took place during which 120 designated supervisors from all over the country were informed on the plan of the system implementation. The new and modern Police Information System is being developed as part of the project "Improving national practices for small arms and light weapons control and building resilient communities" through the SEESAC program and financially supported by the German Federal Foreign Office.
