About the event
On 26 April UNHCR signed an MoU with the Faculty for Philology “Blaze Koneski” to formalize the process of managing and hosting the Digital platform. This Platform is the first of its kind and is meant to address the identified needs for introducing systemic solutions in learning the local language for persons of concern to UNHCR and respond to the need for digitalization of services due to COVID-19. It offers free online Macedonian language classes for asylum seekers and persons under international protection in support of their local inclusion. The Platform can be upgraded and open to foreigners and be used in the future as a systemic tool for learning local languages
The platform is co-financed by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund and the Federal Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Austria.
