A workshop for planning and unification of all stakeholders working on prevention and protection from violence against women and gender -based violence was held on March, 23, in Skopje, with the presence of about 50 participants from the Ministries of Labor and Social Policy, Justice, Interior, MPs, NGO sector, experts, and the British Embassy in Skopje.

About the event
The event was opened by the Minister of Labor and Social Policy Jovana Trencevska, the Director of Programs at the British Embassy in Skopje Andrew Brand, as well as the Head of the UNFPA Office in Skopje - Afrodita Shalja.
The workshop is part of the activities of the project "Prevention and Protection from Gender-Based Violence in North Macedonia", implemented by UNFPA with financial support from the British Embassy in Skopje. The aim of the project is to operationalize the new Law on Prevention and Protection of Violence Against Women and Domestic Violence and support the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia for implementing policies in accordance with the principles of the Istanbul Convention.
