Joint Simulation Training for Migrant Smuggling

Criminal justice practitioners from Serbia and  North Macedonia will participate in a joint multidisciplinary simulation training to improve their ability to investigate and prosecute migrant smuggling with a specific focus on the Western Balkan route, the most active migratory route into the EU. The 2.5-day simulation training will be attended by 25 practitioners from law enforcement, judiciary, protection and assistance services, academia, and civil society and will cover various aspects of migrant smuggling, from initial checks to financial investigations. The goal is to support criminal justice practitioners in addressing the global hotspot of migrant smuggling through the Western Balkans route and to enhance cooperation and knowledge exchange through effective collection and sharing of electronic evidence.
