Organizational Setting The incumbent will operate under the overall supervision of the Budget Holder and the Lead Technical Officer and the direct supervision of the National Team Leader/Legal Advisor and in close cooperation with the NPC from MAFWE, other national authorities, international experts, national and local consultants in the delivery of the duties below specified. Reporting Lines Lead Technical Officer (LTO), Budget Holder and National Team Leader/Legal Advisor Technical Focus land policy, land consolidation, stakeholder engagement, capacity development, agriculture, administrative support Tasks and responsibilities Provide technical inputs for the work on recommendations for amending the policy and regulatory framework for land consolidation, land abandonment and the use of state land, in particular related to the formulation of the new Strategy for Land Consolidation and Action Plan based on the experiences in the previous strategic period. Coordinate within the active land consolidation project areas ongoing field work activities between the technical experts of the Service Providers, MAFWE and FAO. In the active land consolidation project areas participate in field work activities such as negotiations with landowners and farmers, local government etc. Support the development of project communication materials (project briefs, brochures, success stories, slide shows, printed banners and backdrops, etc.), always adhering to the FAO and the EU visibility guidelines. Assist in the formulation of the relevant activity and work plans, including the organization of, and participation in the relevant project workshops and coordination meetings with the stakeholders during all project implementation phases. Assist in preparing annual progress reports and a terminal report. Provide technical guidance within the context of the Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Fisheries and Forests in the Context of National Food Security (VGGT). Carry out other activities within the technical competence as requested by the MAFWE, NPC, international and national FAO team. Provide monthly reports on activities done and time spent. CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING Minimum Requirements A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as land tenure, land management, rural development, climate change, social sciences, or a related discipline. At least 5 years’ experience in coordinating fieldwork and/or project activities Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interactions with farmers, local government, and project stakeholders. Working knowledge of English and Macedonian language. Demonstrated ability to establish good working relationship and team spirit both inside the Organization and with external partners such as government officers, farmers, service providers and other relevant stakeholders.
