Technical documentation provided to 13 projects for faster and more efficient local development

On November 20, a grant award ceremony was organized under the Building Municipal Capacities for Project Implementation project that involved signing of grant agreements between UNDP and the municipalities and regional development centers selected as part of the first call of the Technical Documentation Fund. The event was attended by high level representatives - UNDP Resident Representative, Minister of Local Self-Government and Deputy Head of Cooperation of Sida, as well as the respective mayors and the directors of the regional development centers. In meantime, the implementation of the 13 grants supported by the TDF is underway. The grant recipients are in process of producing TORs for preparation of technical documentation for about 20 priority infrastructure projects. This is done in a hands-on, learning-by-doing process facilitated by a team of external civil engineering experts and coaches.
