Large drill in the the village of Poroj at the school „Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeu“

Large drill was held in the the village of Poroj at the school „Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeu“ with the members of the fire department from Tetovo, members of protection and rescue directorate, center for crisis management, police department, red cross and local population. The purpose of this drill was to test the preparedness of the key institutions for keeping people safe in case of flash floods.

The children of the elementary school Shkolla Fillore "Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeu"in the village of Poroj, who were under threat from the flood water coming from the upper region of Shar mountain, were successfully evacuated and the injured were promptly taken care of during the drill.

The strengthening of the capacities of the institutions and having an informed public of any coming danger is of paramount importance for any DRR efforts and for keeping people safe and secure in case of floods or other disasters.
