On 25 January, the Refugee Law and Migration Center at the Iustinianus Primus Law Faculty in Skopje in cooperation with the UNHCR North Macedonia and the International Institute of Humanitarian Law in Sanremo hosted the Advanced Thematic Forum on International Refugee Protection, focused on the topic of Complementary Pathways, prioritizing education.

About the event
The Forum convened distinguished experts and an international audience of academics and practitioners with advanced knowledge in the field of refugee protection, development, and education. The Forum was closed with working groups developing recommendations on what states, civil society, the private sector, and all people of goodwill can do to introduce and expand complementary pathways with a focus on education. President of North Macedonia Stevo Pendarovski gave an inspiring opening speech in support of refugee rights.
