FAO and the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) organized a joint session during the 2022 FIG Congress in Warsaw, Poland, with a special focus on the potential for multi-purpose land consolidation in countries of Eastern Europe and the initial experiences from North Macedonia.

About the event
The objective of the session is to present and discuss the perspectives and need for multi-purpose land consolidation instruments in Eastern Europe. The session included a country presentation from the Macedonian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy on the initial experiences with multi-purpose land consolidation under the EU-FAO ‘’Mainstreaming of the National Land Consolidation Programme’’ (MAINLAND) Project and the expected way forward.
