UN Women strengthening partnerships with CSOs for gender equality

We had the pleasure of meeting with representatives of some of the civil society organizations with whom we discussed about the situation of women in the country and gender equality. At the meeting, reflections, relevant ongoing activities, and next steps were shared to build further synergy between all stakeholders.

As a common position that emerged from the meeting, was that through discussion and bringing this issue closer to the people, understanding and support shall increase in order to fulfill national commitments as well as compliance with European standards. At the meeting, part of the conclusions from the Analysis of the gender equality situation in the country conducted by our Office, which is in the final stage of preparation, were presented and reviewed.

Thanks to the continuous and active support from Sweden 🇸🇪, we continue to work in partnership on important processes for the empowerment of women and gender equality.
