Empowering CSOs for gender equality mainstreaming in EU integration

Over the past two days, we brought together representatives from 30 civil society organizations (CSOs) across the country for an in-depth insights on the gender perspective within the EU integration process. 
We discussed the crucial role CSOs play in the development of public policies that empower women, as well as in the operation of public institutions, which are tasked to embed gender equality mechanisms in the public sector in line with EU requirements. 
Our training is designed to empower participating CSOs with the foundational tools to effectively champion gender equality at all levels of decision-making. 

CSOs are uniquely positioned to contribute to the sustainable implementation of the EU gender acquis within public institutions. Their direct engagement with citizens equips them with the expertise and experience needed to shape meaningful policies. Additionally, CSOs are essential in advancing gender equality and achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals by providing their inputs and supporting governments to achieve national commitments on equality between women and men, including through legislative changes and their implementation.
