NALAS and UN Women Organize 5th Edition of the Forum of Women Mayors

The event brought together more than 80 women mayors, municipal leaders, policymakers, civil society, and international partners from across Southeast Europe. Over the course of two days, participants exchanged experiences and networked to advance women’s leadership in local governance, promote inclusive decision-making, and accelerate progress on gender equality.  
The Forum kicked off with a thematic panel on the Berlin Process and EU Accession showcasing insightful examples from Croatia, Bulgaria, Albania and Moldova. The Forum was organized by the Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South-East Europe (NALAS) and UN Women, with the support of Switzerland, Sweden, and the UN Peacebuilding Fund. The long-standing commitment to gender-responsive governance and women’s leadership makes this important dialogue possible.
